About Candidate
As a Respiratory Therapist, I have been responsible for evaluating and assessing patients with respiratory conditions, extending knowledge to the patients on breathing exercises and treatments, careful in advising on how to use respiratory devices, its effects and how it can improve one’s life. Administering oxygen and medication has always been a part of me as well as extracting blood for Arterial blood gas additionally, I am experienced in calibrating, maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical ventilators and other respiratory equipment.
In my three years of experience I have had the opportunity to work with patient with different respiratory problems and I have demonstrated my ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans. My communication skills and empathetic nature have enabled me to build rapport with patients and their families which I believe is one of the important things to successful therapy and patient satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities: Performed Vital Signs pre and post treatment, extract Arterial Blood Gas, instructed patient the proper use of Incentive Spirometry, Peak Flow Meter, and other respiratory equipment. I was trained and eventually got deployed as Sleep Technician performing diagnostic and therapeutic test to patient with sleep disorder. Gives medication to patient such; Bronchodilators and anti-inflammatory medicines through Hand-held Nebulizers, Intrapulmonary Percussive Ventilator and Metered Dosed Inhalers. Guides the patient when performing Sputum Induction. Operated the Cough Assist Machine for patient with a hard time clearing their mucus with the help of Chest Physiotherapy (CPT) for better result. Perform Rapid Shallow Breathing Index to test the patient for weaning. Managed and operated High Flow Machine and Mechanical Ventilator including Calibrating, troubleshooting and maintaining its performance to ensure safety before connecting it to the patient.
